Our team is able to consult on all aspects of a development project, from interior architecture, finishes, to-scale floorplans and layouts, lighting and small power design, right down to window treatments, furniture and accessories for that ideal show home.
Our latest project is an example of just this, a collaboration with a local developer, resulting in this aspirational show home – one of ten contemporary semi-detached new-build family homes situated in a quiet village near Newhaven in East Sussex.
Part of the benefit of engaging an interior designer in the early stages of any project, is that it allows for the ability to positively shape the end result from the beginning. This particular project saw us working closely alongside the developer throughout the design and build process. We produced detailed layout drawings, as well as lighting and electrical design for each of the ten houses.
Throughout the build, we were consulted and specified various finishes including flooring, carpet, kitchen finishes including ironmongery and worktop material, paint colours, tiling, sanitaryware etc. This meant that as a team we were in complete control of the finished result, meaning the developers were guaranteed a project that not only looked contemporary and aspirational to potential buyers, but functioned well as family homes too.
Throughout the project, we kept our client abreast of the latest innovations and trends and sourced and supplied samples of all finishes – so that decisions could be made with the entire scheme in mind. Alongside the samples, we provided specification documentation and accurate costings, so that all parties were kept informed regarding costs throughout the design process.
An important part of any development project is truly understanding the target customer, as well as the property style and location, in order to maximize marketing potential. Within any development project we undertake, our designs combine innovative ideas and industry trends, in order to create inspiring and aspirational show homes that really sell the dream.
This project involved a lot of in-depth communication between our team and the developer and a methodical approach to design – resulting in the creation of ten dream homes that reflect not only what potential buyers are seeking, but also the brand values and reputation of the developer.
