Pfeiffer Design is delighted to have been appointed to renovate three bedrooms in a Victorian country mansion in mid Sussex.
The rooms were dated and required extensive decorative renovation to reflect the beauty and character of the house. Each bedroom, individual in design, incorporates a range of bespoke, handmade furniture and soft furnishings in luxurious fabrics by designer brands such as Romo, Today Interiors and Clarke & Clarke. A strong emphasis was focused on lighting the bedrooms to create ambience and to accentuate various furniture items. Decorative chandeliers and pendant lights from Bella Figura, Ochre and Tom Dixon finish off the rooms and create dramatic statement pieces.
The master bedroom has a luxurious, hotel feel with an extravagant, bespoke headboard forming the statement piece- accentuating the generous proportions of the space. A bespoke window seat with elegant, flowing curtains frames the large bay window, which boasts stunning, tranquil views of the surrounding landscape.
The design of the two boys bedrooms aimed to capture their individual personalities, whilst respecting the house and it’s character.
The colour scheme for bedroom 2 was derived from the fluorescent colours within a recently installed tropical fish tank. The vibrant yellow, pink, blue and green hues were used to inspire a statement wall in which we commissioned a graffiti artist to hand paint. We were presented with the challenge of designing a circular bed with a rectangular mattress! The collaboration of our talented joiner and upholsterers resulted in a truly bespoke item of furniture.
The third bedroom, contemporary in style, has a fun and youthful vibe. The statement piece being a floor to ceiling upholstered bar code backdrop to a floating bed, which incorporates bedside tables and concealed LED strip lighting.
Keep your eyes peeled for the finished project photographs which we hope to share soon!
