Pfeiffer Design are delighted to be the designers on a large residential project in a rural West Sussex village, to create a fabulous, twenty-first century family home. The brief included redesigning and extending the living room and home office, reconsidering the interior design of the entrance hall and first floor landing and building a huge 15m day room to include a London style cocktail bar, grand piano and 14 seater dining table.
A large part of our design lay in the lighting scheme. We are working hand in hand with supplier Bespoke Sound and Vision to deliver a contemporary ambience where cutting edge technology is integrated seamlessly with classic interior design. Through the use of drop ceilings, concealed and layered lighting we are confident that the result will be an innovative and inviting ambience.
We are proud to work alongside many talented suppliers and in this project we have commissioned the services of our fantastic upholsterer to make a number of bespoke sofas. As with all our clients we tailor every piece of furniture to suit the design, space and client.
The redesign and extension of the living room included designing a bespoke feature wall to incorporate an 80 inch TV and a bio-ethanol fireplace. By marrying traditional materials, such a wood panelling and traditional design features such as a secret door, with contemporary colours, fabrics and furniture we have created an elegant yet comfortable room that is firmly rooted in the twenty-first century.
