The famous book ‘A Year in Provence’ written by Peter Mayle, was published 25 years ago, and is about a couple in their fifties moving to the South of France and living in a 200 year-old stone farmhouse in the village of Luberon.
With the vibrant local markets teeming with fresh produce, the abundance of lush vineyards and the visually breathtaking crops of lavender, it’s easy to see why the English are enchanted with the region.
We can certainly see the appeal! Susie and Stephan Pfeiffer have been in Rhone on holiday and have fallen in love (again) with the beauty, style and delicious food and wine of the area.
Here’s Susie pictured with some stunning art deco palm lights (definitely the pick of the crop) which we’ll be adding to our furniture stock. We think you’ll agree these are to die for!
Vive la France!
